** IMPORTANT UPDATE **
HP MAKES RIGHT A WRONG!
I just received an email from HP acknowledging the mistake with the offer of a partial refund for the product.
Obviously both HP and I know this does not make up for the lost revenue of being a day late with the replacement part but it does show that HP is willing to accept responsibility and work with their customers. Because of this action on HP's part I have let them back into my good graces and will continue to recommend them as a quality server manufacturer.
Way to go HP! I am impressed!
